Not only does Mezzodi's have pretty great food, a convenient location near the airport right off of Fleur drive, delivery in Des Moines for free and an amazing filet, they have $5 martini's! All-day, everyday! Choices include fruity favorites and dessert-y chocolate. You have to try one...or five! We often come late at night just for the martini's. You can sit at tables in the bar for a relaxed atmosphere or sit up at the bar to chat with the talkative bar-tender. There are at least 20 different kinds on the menu! Check it out!
Martini's are good and you can't beat a full-sized martini for $5! But remember, even though they taste great, they are aren't watered down like cocktails, so they pack a punch! Drink responsibly!

ReplyDeleteWe love to have dinner at Mezzodi's after taking in a show at the Fleur Cinema! They have a dessert or cocktail deal if you bring in a movie ticket (I think it was buy one get one). I agree - the martinis are delish (especially the caramel apple!) and the price can't be beat.

DeleteI highly recommend the Ricotta Gnocchi Bolognese and the Bruschetta. The Gnocchi is just amazing, and is a hefty portion that leaves plenty of leftovers. The texture of the gnocchi is perfect and the sauce has amazing flavor. The addition of ricotta into the gnocchi instead of traditional potato makes the whole dish taste sinfully rich. It's one of my favorite meals in all of Des Moines. Their Bruschetta is made with a healthy dollop of Boursin cheese on top of sliced baguette (I think they get them from South Union), which is then toasted and served with a mound of incredibly fresh bruschetta topping, all drizzled with balsamic reduction. Added bonus: all appetizers and pizzas are 1/2 price price from 4-6pm M-F.
