Kidsfest!

Kidsfest! (check out the website) is an annual event to benefit Children & Families of Iowa.  It's held at the State Fairgrounds each year and is a really fun, family event.  There are a ton of things for kids of all ages to enjoy here.  The crowds can get intense, but we've had luck getting there right when they open and hitting the games (lots of prizes given away) before the lines get too long.

If your kid is a Dora fan, on Sunday of the event they have a Birthday party with Dora and the first 100 people in line that day get a ticket to the party that is held in a separate room and the kids get cookies, goodie bags and photo opportunities with Dora.

Spiderman has made an appearance every year we've been there and there is usually a ton of games and giveaways to make the kids happy.  We've had fun at this event and more fun as our kid gets older.

It's a fun event for a good cause.  This year the event is March 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2013. Tickets are $7 a person (kids under 2 are free).  $2 off coupons are available at Veridian Credit Unions.  You can also register to win a four pack of tickets here.
