It's Wednesday (or Thursday, Friday or Saturday) evening and you're sitting with your friends or significant other trying to figure out what to do for fun. Dinner? Movie? Bar? Mall? Instead of heading to West Des Moines for a movie and dinner at a chain, try the Funny Bone in West Glen!
Come early to get good seats and dinner and have some laughs. They offer a menu of fun appetizers, salads, sandwiches and even steak. They have a full bar and the mixed drinks are really good! I love the sweet potato fries too.
Tickets to the shows start around $10 and food and drinks are extra, but I think it's a good value for the a full-length show and the food is reasonable priced. You have to be 19 with a valid ID to see a show.
Of course the quote on the menu is so true that "the more you drink, the funnier the show gets", but, hey it's something different to do and you may just laugh a lot! We've seen hits and misses here, but the food is pretty good, the drinks are great and it's always fun to go out with friends. Give it a shot!
