Dos Rios lunch specials get dos thumbs up.

Two taco lunch special with corn chowder, shrimp tacos
and one crunchy and one corn tortilla. $10.
Guacamole being made
table-sise to your liking.
Like most five year-olds, my kid has a limited repertoire of lunch meals that he'll eat.  Since quesadillas make the list, we're regulars at some of the Mexican restaurants in town.

While Tamales Industry still remains my favorite tamale place, I love Dos Rios' guacamole that is made table-side (you can order a half portion for $5) and the two taco lunch special for only $8 is a great deal.  Choose from soup or salad and two tacos (choose from pork, chiorizo, chicken or beef, (add $1 for shrimp or fish).  The service is always quick and the ingredients are always fresh.

Two taco lunch special chicken and
pork/pineapple with flour tortillas and bean soup $8.

It's a great option for us to meet up with the hubby (who works downtown) when we visit the Science Center.  Since it's so close we can keep our parking spot and walk over. And hubby has enough time to eat and get back to work in an hour.

Oh, and the sangria is mighty tasty too.  I also love the sweet and savory spice mix that they coat the chips in.  Gluten-free options are clearly labeled on the menu.

Try Dos Rios for a quick lunch, they have a kids menu but don't offer coloring pages, so if you have kids in tow, make sure you bring something to keep them occupied.  Or just stop in on your lunch break from work.  Those darn addictive chips will have you coming back for more.  Also try them with the salsa verde that comes in the tres salsas appetizer.
