Free construction crafts for kids.

Did you know that both Lowe's and Home Depot offer free construction-type crafts for kids on select Saturday mornings every month.  The Lowe's calendar is here.  And the Home Depot Calendar is here. They require registration, but if they have enough supplies available, they've let us drop in too.

Projects are self-guided and recommended for ages 5 and up, so if your kid is smaller, you'll probably end up doing most of the project yourself, but still fun none-the-less.  They've done projects like cars, birdhouses, airplanes and school buses.  They deck your kid out with goggles, an apron and a hammer which makes the perfect photo-op. And they get a certificate of completion and badge to take home for their handy-work.  Very cool for a free event that takes less than an hour on a Saturday morning.

Lowe's and Home Depot have had race cars, monster jam trucks, movie theme toys and more.
